Inspiration for this painting came in a year that we had several weddings in our family. None of them were outdoors, but I thought a country wedding should be in a church garden under a rose arbor. The mother of the bride is using her handkerchief and the groom's mother is keeping her's handy! The littlest guest is getting fidgety and doesnt want to be still anymore. Notice the lady in blue with the umbrella standing in the back. Hmm...Do you think she is wondering about what might have been?
