It is a special village because each of the shops in this town are named for each of our 7 grandchildren and our great-grandson. This village is brimming with activity and the lights in the windows glow with a warm welcome. Folks in carriages and sleighs are making their way to town. The streets are filled with shoppers, and occasionally friends and family will greet one another and stop to hear the latest news. The old lamplighter is about to light the last lamp, each one illuminating a golden cast on the snow. The toy shop is a wonderous place in the eyes of the young ones! Do you hear the music of carolers assembled near the town tree? Let's stop and listen awhile. Making snow angels is as much fun as catching snow flakes on your tongue! All the skaters are enjoying their time on the ice and will warm up later with hot chocolate at the ice cream store. Watch out for that snowball! Mr. Snowman looks very dapper all dressed up in a scarf and hat. Even the gazebo has been outfitted for the season with the lovely greens and ribbons. This is indeed a very special village.
