I painted this image using fond memories of my childhood summers. The "ice-man" is bringing a chunk of ice for the family "ice-box". Do you see the sign boards in the windows telling him how much each household will need? The children gather round and climb on to the wagon to help themselves to ice chips. U'mm, the ice melting in their mouths feels so cool!

This warm, sunny day is perfect for washing clothes and hanging them outside on the clothes lines to dry. Tending the garden is a continuing chore through out the summer, but well worth the work to get those yummy fresh vegetables!

It is so much fun to be with friends to jump rope, ride bikes or to hop on your new scooter for a ride. Fishing, wading and swimming in the creek are great ways to cool off and have a good time. Do you see the tea party taking place under the tree in the backyard? All these folks are enjoying the Good Ole Summer Time.
