This painting was so much fun to create. I put all the " spooky stuff" in the top half of the picture and the fun stuff in the bottom half. Look closely at the old house. Is that a candle moving all by itself in that window ? What about the huge spider and web on the roof ? Is that someone in the doorway ? The house in the distance seems to have a scary face. See those little men in the trees by the cemetary ? The witches are gathered around the cauldron in the corn field. I wonder what they are up to ? At the time that this was painted we had 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. They all appear in costume at the barn dance. Carrie is the oldest and is wearing a green gown and hat, her son, Kris, is in green and is sitting on a hay bale. Carrie's twin brothers are Mike, who has the red suspenders and is dancing with his girl in the barn, and Matt who is driving the hay wagon. Amber has on patriotic garb and is standing by the table. Her sister is Shannah, the princess, who is sitting next to Kris. Their brother Zachary is the little hobo. Notice my signature in the lower left hand corner...trick or treat!
